Technological Future:
research and innovation in Qsistemi Italia

Technological research is a crucial component of innovation.

For this reason, research and development activities play a decisive role in Qsistemi Italia, representing a fundamental investment for the acquisition of knowledge and skills capable of generating new products and services.

Qsistemi carries out important research and development paths in order to reach a theoretical / practical level of knowledge of new electronic and computer technologies to be highly competitive in a continuous improvement strategy.

 

On the basis of these objectives, Qsistemi annually prepares a research activity plan that involves personnel, resources and research laboratories engaged in experimental work, analysis, design, software development, testing.

Qsistemi has created a division called “Robotics” which embodies the vocation of the Research and Development laboratory, of innovative solutions in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence and environmental engineering



Neural Networks and AI

Qsistemi has decided to carry out specific research work on artificial intelligence based on neural networks by designing and testing advanced sensor management and visual analysis systems.

This research has made it possible to develop a neural network capable of identifying obstacles in flight with a very high degree of reliability, to support aircraft flying at low altitudes.

Thanks also to the studies conducted, Qsistemi is working on an interface capable of recognizing and communicating any type of obstacle in real time.

AI Robotized Systems

Combining artificial intelligence with advanced sensors, Qsistemi carries out experimental research work on the subject of robotics with aerial or terrestrial drones up to the creation of intelligent robotic systems capable of performing multiple and complex tasks such as aerial and submarine inspections, aerial or terrestrial reconnaissance and monitoring, image processing, etc.

These prototypes have the ability to be able to connect with each other (or with the remote operator) through the use of GPS and LTE mobile networks, in order to make it possible to monitor activities in real time.

Specific research work on artificial intelligence has made it possible to develop software algorithms for recognizing obstacles using data from optical sensors.

To date, technology makes it very easy to locate a device equipped with GPS and, with the appropriate satellite coverage, the accuracy of the measurement is very accurate.

This does not happen in closed environments as it is not possible to detect satellite signals due to the poor signal penetration.

Our research has allowed us to identify solutions to this problem through the use of electronic components that take advantage of beacon / bluetooth technology.

The aim of the projects is to achieve the increase of functional autonomy in various scenarios which can be a home environment, a study environment, a work environment.
